New rational and breather solutions of a higher-order integrable nonlinear Schrodinger equation

Li-Yuan Ma et al.

Summary: This letter investigates the general rational solutions and breather solutions of a higher-order integrable nonlinear Schrodinger equation based on Darboux transformation. New W-shape traveling wave solution, rogue wave solution, and various periodic breather solutions are constructed. The interaction properties of two breather solutions are displayed through numerical simulation, showing new dynamical properties in extended nonlinear integrable physical models.

Rogue waves for the fourth-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation on the periodic background

Hai-Qiang Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates rogue wave solutions on a periodic background for the fourth-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation, finding them to be modulationally unstable with respect to long-wave perturbations. By combining nonlinearization of spectral problems with the Darboux transformation method, rogue wave solutions on the background of periodic waves are derived. The dynamics of rogue waves are studied, revealing analogs in the standard NLS equation and unaffected magnification factor by higher-order effects. Additionally, the rogue wave solutions can simplify into multi-pole soliton solutions as the elliptic modulus approaches 1, forming weakly bound states.

Multi-rogue wave solutions for a generalized integrable discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equation with higher-order excitations

Jun Yang et al.

Summary: In this paper, the discrete higher-order rogue wave solutions for a generalized integrable discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equation are constructed. The dynamical behaviors of different order rogue wave solutions are investigated along with their stability, and the differences between the solutions of the higher-order discrete NLS equation and the Ablowitz-Ladik equation are illustrated through numerical experiments and figures. The modulation instability of continuous waves is also studied.
