Highly efficient Cu-In-Zn-S/ZnS/PVP composites based white light-emitting diodes by surface modulation

Yanqiao Xu et al.

Summary: In this study, CIZS QDs were synthesized through a hydrothermal method with the assistance of an ionic liquid, leading to enhanced PL performance and reduced reaction time. Surface treatment with a ZnS shell further improved the PLQY of the QDs. The preparation of CIZS/ZnS/PVP composites helped eliminate aggregation-induced fluorescence quenching effect, showing potential for applications in WLEDs.

Cation-exchange mediated synthesis of hydrogen and sodium titanates heterojunction: Theoretical and experimental insights toward photocatalyic mechanism

Isabela M. Iani et al.

Summary: Na2Ti3O7/H2Ti3O7 heterojunction nanotubes were synthesized via microwave-assisted hydrothermal method with different band gap energy engineering, showing activity for Rhodamine-B dye discoloration under visible light, with the material having the highest sodium concentration exhibiting the best performance. The theoretical results revealed a staggered gap heterojunction band offset between Na2Ti3O7 and H2Ti3O7, with a Z-scheme charge carrier transfer mechanism for dye discoloration.

Novel application of Tb-substituted layered double hydroxides to capturing and photoluminescence detecting CO2 gas at ambient temperature

Ikuo Yanase et al.

Summary: Terbium-substituted layered double hydroxides (NO3-LDH) were synthesized using a hydrothermal method, which showed green photoluminescence as CO3-LDH under a CO2 gas flow containing water vapor. The fluorescence intensity of CO3-LDH increased with CO2 absorption time and concentration, with a greater bandgap compared to NO3-LDH.

N-SrTiO3/p-GaN heterojunctions: A white light-emitting diode with a broad luminescence spectrum

Annan Yang et al.

Summary: A white light-emitting diode (LED) based on the n-SrTiO3 (n-STO)/p-GaN heterojunction demonstrates good rectification characteristics and intense white light emission. The device exhibits strong and broad emission bands in both blue to red and ultraviolet to blue regions, originating from the p-type GaN and n-type STO layers respectively. This heterojunction structure shows promise for achieving LEDs with high intense white light emission.

Summary: In this study, beta-Ag(2-3x)EuxMoO4 materials were prepared using coprecipitation method and investigated. The insertion of Eu3+ ions caused structural, morphological, and optical changes in the material, affecting its emission and excitation spectra. The results suggest that beta-Ag2MoO4 can sensitize and stabilize the red emission of Eu3+ ions.
