Correlation ofBa:Gd ratio and film thickness to the dielectric, ferroelectric and leakage current mechanism of nanostructure Ba1-xGdxTiO3 thin films

Ala'eddin A. Saif et al.

Summary: Perovskite Ba1-xGdxTiO3 thin films with different Ba:Gd ratios (0 = x <= 0.3) and various thicknesses were fabricated using sol-gel technique. The dielectric constant, ferroelectric hysteresis, and leakage current of the films were studied, showing different trends with Gd+3 ratio and film thickness. The results indicate that grain size and permanent dipoles play important roles in influencing the properties of the thin films.

Electronic structure and transport properties of sol-gel-derived high-entropy Ba(Zr0.2Sn0.2Ti0.2Hf0.2Nb0.2)O3 thin films

Yuqi Liang et al.

Summary: The study reported the electronic structure and charge transport properties of high-entropy oxide Ba(Zr0.2Sn0.2Ti0.2Hf0.2Nb0.2)O3 annealed at different temperatures. It was found that the band gap narrowed with increasing annealing temperature and all thin films exhibited semiconductor-like behavior. Two charge transport mechanisms were identified through analysis methods.

NaNbO3-(Bi0.5Li0.5)TiO3 Lead-Free Relaxor Ferroelectric Capacitors with Superior Energy-Storage Performances via Multiple Synergistic Design

Aiwen Xie et al.

Summary: This study achieved high energy density, high efficiency, and ultrafast discharge rate in relaxor ferroelectric ceramics by introducing various polarization configurations and microstructure modification. The energy-storage performance was attributed to the presence of different-scale polar nanodomains, a nonpolar matrix, and delayed polarization saturation, ensuring a linear-like polarization response within a wide field and temperature range.
