Facile preparation of nanostructured Pd-Sch-δ-FeOOH particles: A highly effective and easily retrievable catalyst for aryl halide cyanation and p-nitrophenol reduction

Melike Caliskan et al.

Summary: Iron based compounds are good supports for immobilizing transition metals, as shown in this study where palladium nanoparticles were stabilized on Schiff base modified delta-FeOOH particles to create an effective and recoverable catalyst. The catalyst showed high catalytic efficiency in reactions to prepare benzonitriles and reduce p-nitrophenol, and was found to be recyclable.

Pd/CoFe2O4/chitosan: A highly effective and easily recoverable hybrid nanocatalyst for synthesis of benzonitriles and reduction of 2-nitroaniline

Talat Baran et al.

Summary: The novel Pd/CoFe2O4/chitosan hybrid nanocatalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity in the cyanation reactions of aryl halides and reduction reactions of 2-NA, with high reaction yields and fast reaction times. Additionally, it showed easy recoverability and could be reused multiple times without significant loss of catalytic activity.
