Morphology dependent effective charge separation process in nanostructured MoS2 thin films for enhanced photodegradation behavior

Summary: This study demonstrates the cost-effective hydrothermal synthesis of MoS2 thin films with tunable morphology on conductive ITO substrates. The thread-like MoS2 structures show the highest efficiency for sunlight-induced photodegradation activity. The morphology-dependent charge separation behavior in MoS2 thin films contributes significantly to their enhanced photodegradation capabilities.

Review of titanium trisulfide (TiS3): A novel material for next generation electronic and optical devices

Summary: Titanium trisulfide (TiS3) is a newly emerged material with non-linear optical properties and conductivity, providing a platform for researchers worldwide to develop future electronics and optoelectronics devices. This article discusses the synthesis, basic structure, and electronic band structure of TiS3, as well as the effects of external forces on band structure and the variation in electronic and optoelectronic properties. It also analyzes the vibrational modes, origin, and effects of temperature, pressure, and polarized light on TiS3, along with experimental and theoretical data on thermal and electronic transport coefficients, thermoelectric properties, and charge density waves induced by temperature in TiS3. Finally, the electronic and optoelectronic applications of TiS3, such as FETs, p-n junctions, photodetectors, and mode-locked lasers, are discussed.
