Functionalized Graphene Oxide-Reinforced Chitosan Hydrogel as Biomimetic Dressing for Wound Healing

Yanjie Wang et al.

Summary: The introduction of CGO significantly improves the mechanical property of the chitosan hydrogel, leading to the formation of a CS-CGO composite hydrogel with an interconnected porous structure. Cytotoxicity tests demonstrate excellent biocompatibility, and in vivo evaluation on rat wounds shows that the CS-CGO composite hydrogel accelerates wound healing significantly, with a closure rate of 92.2% after 21 days.
