Intensity and ratios of light affecting perception of space, co-presence and surrounding context, a lab experiment

Mette Hvass et al.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of light intensity and ratios on perception of space atmosphere and surrounding context. Results showed that participants perceived the atmosphere in low-luminance environments as relaxed and private, and lighting was considered more harmonious and less glaring when luminance ratios were low.

Is the use of high correlated color temperature light at night related to delay of sleep timing in university students? A cross-country study in Japan and China

Shigekazu Higuchi et al.

Summary: The use of high CCT light at night is associated with delay of sleep timing in Japanese university students but not in Chinese university students. Lifestyle factors and illuminance level of light exposure during the night may complicate the effects of light at night on sleep timing and circadian rhythm depending on the country.
