Alpelisib administration reduced lymphatic malformations in a mouse model and in patients

Summary: This study demonstrates the efficacy of the PIK3CA inhibitor alpelisib in a genetic mouse model of PIK3CA-related lymphatic malformations. Treatment with alpelisib showed improvements in lymphatic anomalies and extended survival. Adverse events were observed in two patients during the study, highlighting the need for further research on the safety and efficacy of this therapeutic strategy.
