Summary: The study found that long noncoding RNA PMIF was highly expressed in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) from aged mice, responsible for reduced migration capacity of aged osteoprogenitor cells (OPCs) to bone formation surface. Targeting lnc-PMIF to facilitate aged OPCs migrating to bone formation surface could be a brand-new anabolic strategy for aging-related osteoporosis.
