Summary: The study evaluated the secular changes in heights and weights of rural school youth in west-central Poland between 1986 and 2016. Results indicated significant increases in heights and weights over the period, but the estimated rates of change were not linear between adjacent surveys.

Socio-economic status has a significant impact on height, with differences in height between SES categories decreasing gradually over time. Despite improvements in living conditions, social inequalities still have biological effects on height differences in Poland.
