Towards real-time photorealistic 3D holography with deep neural networks

Liang Shi et al.

Summary: The ability to present three-dimensional scenes with continuous depth sensation has a profound impact on various fields. Computer-generated holography enables high-resolution 3D projection, but existing methods have limitations. We demonstrate a deep-learning-based pipeline for real-time 3D hologram synthesis from a single RGB-depth image. Our memory-efficient CNN runs on consumer-grade GPUs and mobile devices, promising real-time performance in future AR/VR headsets.

Attomolar-Level Ultrasensitive and Multiplex microRNA Detection Enabled by a Nanomaterial Locally Assembled Microfluidic Biochip for Cancer Diagnosis

Yujin Chu et al.

Summary: The development of an attomolar-level ultrasensitive, rapid, and multiple-miRNA simultaneous detection microfluidic biochip platform has been proposed. This platform features a large linear detection regime, ultralow detection limit, short detection time, multiplex miRNA sensing capability, and small sample volume consumption, making it suitable for early cancer diagnosis and biological studies.

Microfluidic synthesis of high-valence programmable atom-like nanoparticles for reliable sensing

Jing Li et al.

Summary: The synthesis of programmable atom-like nanoparticles (PANs) with high valences and high yields remains a challenge. A novel synthetic strategy using microfluidic galvanic displacement (mu-GD) and microfluidic DNA nanoassembly was developed for the synthesis of single-stranded DNA encoder (SSE)-encoded PANs. This method allows for the effective control of interfacial reactions and has led to the successful synthesis of PANs with high valences (e.g., n-valence, n = 12) and high yields (>80%). The first demonstration of a PAN-based automatic analytical platform was presented, showing reliable quantitative measurement with accurate determination of tetracycline (TET) in serum and milk samples.
