Anaerobic co-digestion of waste activated sludge and fish waste: Methane production performance and mechanism analysis

Yuqi Wu et al.

Summary: The study on anaerobic co-digestion of waste activated sludge and fish waste showed that adding 1.5% and 3% of fish waste could enhance methane production, while adding more than 6% inhibited methane production severely. Microbial community analysis revealed dominance of hydrogenotrophic and methylotrophic methanogenesis pathways during anaerobic co-digestion.

The study of hydrothermal liquefaction of corn straw with Nano ferrite plus inorganic base catalyst system at low temperature

Yongxing Chen et al.

Summary: The study investigated the hydrothermal liquefaction of corn straw with different catalytic systems and temperatures. Results showed that a dual catalytic system can effectively promote the degradation of corn straw at low temperatures, but the yield of heavy bio-oil is affected by temperature. There are differences in the content and yield of different compounds in bio-oil under different catalytic systems and temperatures.

The screening of early warning indicators and microbial community of chicken manure thermophilic digestion at high organic loading rate

Tianjie Ao et al.

Summary: Under high organic loading rate conditions, anaerobic digestion of chicken manure at high temperature is prone to instability due to dual suppression of free volatile fatty acids and free ammonia, as well as degradation of isobutyrate. The ratio of n-butyrate to iso-butyrate can serve as an early warning indicator for stability.
