A reproducing kernel Hilbert space log-rank test for the two-sample problem

Tamara Fernandez et al.

Summary: Weighted log-rank tests are commonly used in the analysis of right-censored data. This article introduces a new approach using the supremum of a collection of weighted log-rank tests in RKHS, showing its robustness and effectiveness compared to previous methods. Empirical evaluation and application to real data further demonstrate the benefits of this proposed methodology.

Inferring median survival differences in general factorial designs via permutation tests

Marc Ditzhaus et al.

Summary: In this study, an alternative method using median survival times to estimate treatment effects was proposed to enhance interpretation in factorial survival designs with right-censored observations. Contrasts of population versions were used to formulate null hypotheses. Permutation-based tests and confidence regions were shown to be valid in asymptotic conditions, with extensive simulations demonstrating the wide applicability and strong performance of the new methods.
