Summary: In Spanish citrus orchards, the generalist predator Euseius stipulatus and the Tetranychidae-specialist predators Neoseiulus californicus and Phytoseiulus persimilis play a key role in regulating Tetranychus urticae populations. Euseius stipulatus shows a preference for feeding on Cleopatra mandarin, which may be related to its zoophytophagous behavior. The specialist predators, on the other hand, do not exhibit this feeding preference and do not engage in direct plant feeding.
