IRF11 regulates positively type I IFN transcription and antiviral response in mandarin fish, Siniperca chuatsi

Li Li et al.

Summary: In this study, IRF11 in mandarin fish was found to be upregulated following virus infection, inducing ISRE activity and the expression of type I IFNs, IFNc and IFNh, as well as the IFN-stimulated gene Mx, thus inhibiting SCRV replication.

Functional characterization of four TIR domain-containing adaptors, MyD88, TRIF, MAL, and SARM in mandarin fish Siniperca chuatsi

Kai Lun Wang et al.

Summary: TIR domain-containing adaptors play crucial roles in the Toll-like receptor signalling pathway in mandarin fish. These adaptors, including MyD88, TRIF, MAL, and SARM, are ubiquitously expressed in immune- and mucosa-related tissues, with their expression up-regulated by poly(I:C) and LPS stimulation. They show antiviral effects by activating specific promoters and inhibiting viral replication, with SARM impairing the effects of other adaptors through interactions with them. Further research on the regulatory mechanisms of these adaptors in different TLR signalling pathways is needed.
