Effects of Thermal Stress on the Gut Microbiome of Juvenile Milkfish (Chanos chanos)

Christiane Hassenruck et al.

Summary: The study found that temperature is a key factor influencing the gut microbiome composition of milkfish, with the structure of the gut microbiome being related to the host's energy status. From the experimental results, it can be seen that milkfish gradually adapt to higher temperatures under thermal stress, and the changes in the microbiome may serve as an adaptation mechanism.

Influence of diet shift from bloodworm to formulated feed on growth performance, gut microbiota structure and function in early juvenile stages of hybrid sturgeon (Acipenser baerii x Acipenser schrenckii)

Qiang Hao et al.

Summary: The study found that compared to bloodworm, formulated feed improved the weight gain rate and feed conversion ratio of sturgeon, but led to dysbiosis in the intestinal microbiota, negatively impacting the immune response of GF zebrafish and reducing their resistance to pathogenic bacteria.
