Deep Neural Network-Based Screening Model for COVID-19-Infected Patients Using Chest X-Ray Images

Dilbag Singh et al.

Summary: Limited COVID-19 testing kits have led to the development of alternative diagnosis approaches using chest X-rays and CT scans. A deep CNN method was designed to classify COVID-19 infected patients using X-ray images, outperforming other machine learning models in terms of performance metrics.

Federated learning for COVID-19 screening from Chest X-ray images

Ines Feki et al.

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a need for efficient diagnosis methods, with deep learning proving to be valuable in analyzing chest X-ray images. This study introduces a collaborative federated learning framework for medical institutions to screen COVID-19 without sharing patient data, showing competitive results compared to traditional data-sharing models. By addressing privacy concerns and utilizing private data, this framework allows for the rapid development of powerful models for COVID-19 screening.

A deep-learning based multimodal system for Covid-19 diagnosis using breathing sounds and chest X-ray images

Unais Sait et al.

Summary: The study proposes a multimodal framework called Ai-CovScan for Covid-19 detection using breathing sounds, chest X-ray images, and rapid antigen tests. They developed a model called CovScanNet using transfer learning and Multi-Layered Perceptron to reduce false negatives. The model achieves an accuracy of 80% for breathing sound analysis and 99.66% for Covid-19 detection on the CXR image dataset.
