Yolk-Shell Nanocapsule Catalysts as Nanoreactors with Various Shell Structures and Their Diffusion Effect on the CO2 Reforming of Methane

Changzhen Wang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the importance of shell thickness and porosity of Ni@SiO2 nanoreactor catalysts in affecting diffusion effects and catalytic activity, showing how these factors can enhance resistance to deactivation. Additionally, a proposed shell diffusion effect scheme highlights the reversible/irreversible interruptions in shell mass transfer as a key factor in permanently/temporarily deactivating nanoreactor catalysts.

Synthesis of ultrafine AuPd bimetallic nanoparticles using a magnetite-cored poly(propyleneimine) dendrimer template and its sustainable catalysis of the Suzuki coupling reaction

Rajmohan Rangasamy et al.

Summary: In this study, highly monodispersed ultrafine AuPd bimetallic nanoparticles of size 3-6 nm were successfully synthesized using the magnetic-cored PPI dendrimer through a simple and convenient method without external stabilizers. The nanoparticles exhibited superior dispersibility, stability, and catalytic efficacy, making them a potential green catalyst for Suzuki coupling reactions. The magnetic-cored PPI dendrimer proved to be effective in encapsulating the bimetallic nanoparticles and retaining their catalytic activity for multiple consecutive cycles.
