Sociodemographic diversity in cancer clinical trials: New findings on the effect of race and ethnicity

Summary: Studies have shown that individuals with higher income, Hispanic ethnicity, and younger age are more likely to participate in cancer clinical trials, while educational attainment does not significantly affect enrollment. People of color are more likely to participate, suggesting that structural barriers have a greater impact on participation than race alone.
