Am I on Track? Evaluating Patient-Specific Weight Loss After Bariatric Surgery Using an Outcomes Calculator

Oliver A. Varban et al.

Summary: Individual weight loss outcomes after bariatric surgery can vary significantly, making it challenging to identify and assist patients who are not meeting their weight loss goals. By using a bariatric surgery outcomes calculator, appropriate weight-loss expectations can be set after surgery, and patients who may benefit from additional therapy before reaching their weight loss nadir can be identified.
