The frequency of CRTH2(+)Tregs is higher in patients with asthma, especially allergic phenotype, compared to healthy controls, and shows a negative correlation with ACT scores and PEFR. CRTH2(+)Tregs increase during exacerbation and decrease after asthma control. In vitro investigations demonstrate that Tregs of allergic patients with asthma display Th2-biased character.
