Selenium-enriched amorphous NiSe1+x nanoclusters as a highly efficient cocatalyst for photocatalytic H2 evolution

Summary: Transition-metal sulfides, such as NiS1+x nanoclusters, have been shown to enhance H-2 evolution rates in photocatalysts by providing active unsaturated S sites. This method can also be extended to other metal sulfides to further enhance H-2-evolution activity.

Molybdenum sulfide cocatalyst activation upon photodeposition of cobalt for improved photocatalytic hydrogen production activity of ZnCdS

Summary: In this study, a facile method was developed to synthesize Co-modified MoSx cocatalyst, which showed excellent performance for efficient hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). The ZnCdS/Co-MoSx photocatalyst exhibited superior HER rate and apparent quantum efficiency compared to ZnCdS/MoSx and pristine ZnCdS, as well as benchmarked Pt, Au and Ag co-catalysts. The recycling test demonstrated the satisfactory stability of ZnCdS/Co-MoSx catalyst with slightly reduced activity after 25 hours consecutive HER.

Au Nanoparticles Embedded in Carbon Self-Doping g-C3N4: Facile Photodeposition Method for Superior Photocatalytic H2 Evolution

Highly Selective Two-Electron Electrocatalytic CO2 Reduction on Single-Atom Cu Catalysts
