Nanoengineering of 2D MXene-Based Materials for Energy Storage Applications

Nanoengineering of these materials is being extensively studied to enhance performance in energy storage applications. Research on MXene-based nanostructures for energy storage is discussed, highlighting preparation methods, properties, and applications in lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries, and supercapacitors. Challenges and perspectives for future development in this field are also addressed.

2D titanium carbide(MXene) nanosheets and 1D hydroxyapatite nanowires into free standing nanocomposite membrane: in vitro and in vivo evaluations for bone regeneration

Synthetic Bone Graft Substitute for Treatment of Unicameral Bone Cysts

Large-Pore Platelet-Rich Fibrin with a Mg Ring to Allow MC3T3-E1 Preosteoblast Migration and to Improve Osteogenic Ability for Bone Defect Repair

Summary: Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a natural fibrin meshwork material suitable for tissue engineering applications, and in this study, large-pore PRF (LPPRF) was engineered using freeze drying to enhance cell migration, combined with a biodegradable Mg ring to improve osteoconduction and osteoinduction. The results showed that LPPRF promoted more extensive cell migration and retained growth factors, while Mg ions released from the Mg ring significantly enhanced calcium deposition of preosteoblasts, indicating great potential for critical-size bone defect repair.

Magnetic black phosphorus microbubbles for targeted tumor theranostics

Summary: Black phosphorus (BP) is of interest for biomedical applications due to its wide spectral absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiency. Magnetic microbubbles (MBs) are effective drug carriers that resist blood flow shear force in a magnetic field, improving adhesion for targeted ultrasound diagnosis and therapy. By optimizing magnetic MBs configurations, targeted tumor theranostics with magnetic black phosphorus microbubbles (MBBPM) have been achieved in vitro and in vivo, enhancing ultrasound imaging and photothermal killing of breast cancer cells.

In4/3P2Se6-based photodetectors demonstrate high performance in the visible light region, with high responsivity, external quantum efficiency, and fast response time, paving the way for future optoelectronic detection applications.
