Ultralong Organic Phosphorescent Foams with High Mechanical Strength

Suzhi Cai et al.

Summary: This study presented a series of ultralong phosphorescent foams with high mechanical strength, which have long phosphorescence lifetime and can withstand high pressure. The phosphorescence emission of the foam can be tuned from blue to orange by varying the excitation wavelength. Experimental data and theoretical calculations showed that ultralong phosphorescence was attributed to the fixation of multiple hydrogen bonds to the clusters of carbonyl groups.
