A definition, benchmark and database of AI for social good initiatives

Summary: AI for social good initiatives are increasing, but lack of normative analyses and empirical evidence has limited understanding and support for these initiatives. Using the United Nations' SDGs as a benchmark, researchers are able to analyze and benchmark AI for social good applications systematically, identifying pressing problems that need to be addressed to enhance effectiveness.
