Cross-modality person re-identification via channel-based partition network

Jiachang Liu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a channel-based partition network to address the challenges of visible-infrared cross-modality person re-identification, improving the network's ability to learn cross-modality features by introducing newly generated samples and using a distinctive method for learning local features. Additionally, a lightweight feature converter is added to eliminate modality differences at the end of the proposed framework, with experimental results on popular datasets proving the effectiveness of the approach.

Retinal and Optic Nerve Deformations Due to Orbital Versus Intracranial Venous Hypertension

Mark J. Kupersmith et al.

Summary: Abnormal forces around the optic nerve head due to various diseases can lead to alterations of the ONH shape. MRI and SDOCT findings in patients with different conditions showed distinct changes in the ONH and retinal structures, suggesting varying stress and strain mechanisms on the ONH.

Radiomics feature reliability assessed by intraclass correlation coefficient: a systematic review

Cindy Xue et al.

Summary: Radiomics research has been rapidly growing in recent years, with concerns on reliability raised. This systematic review focused on the use of the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) as a reliability metric in radiomics studies. The review found that while feature reliability to image segmentation is extensively studied, image acquisition introduces more variability than image segmentation, particularly in MRI studies.

Automatic Retinal Vessel Segmentation Based on an Improved U-Net Approach

Zihe Huang et al.

Summary: An automatic retinal vessel segmentation method based on an improved U-Net network is proposed in this paper, achieving precise extraction of retinal blood vessels. Experimental results demonstrate that the performance of this method is better than most classical algorithms on different databases.

An Orthogonal Locality and Globality Dimensionality Reduction Method Based on Twin Eigen Decomposition

Shuzhi Su et al.

Summary: Dimensionality reduction is a hot topic in pattern recognition, with linear and nonlinear methods offering different advantages. However, redundant information and noise in high-dimensional data can limit classification performance. The proposed orthogonal dimensionality reduction method OLGPP, based on twin eigen decomposition, combines global and local structures while remaining insensitive to redundant information and noise, leading to improved performance compared to traditional methods.
