The impact of the interaction between an entrepreneurial marketing orientation and coopetition on business performance

James M. Crick et al.

Summary: This study examines how coopetition positively moderates the relationship between an entrepreneurial marketing orientation and financial performance. Findings suggest that while entrepreneurial marketing orientation has a negative impact on financial performance, coopetition can positively moderate this relationship, enabling owner-managers to pursue opportunities through collaborative business models for mutually beneficial performance outcomes.

Qualitative research in marketing: what can academics do better?

James M. Crick

Summary: Qualitative research is intended to produce in-depth and subjective findings to establish theories, but many researchers fail to fully utilize their methodological advantages and struggle to publish in top-tier journals. Ways to improve the credibility of research methods, such as increasing sample size, conducting pilot studies, and triangulation, are proposed. Accessing correct informants, reporting larger samples, clarifying qualitative data presentation, and learning from best practices in commercial literature can facilitate effective qualitative research.
