Summary: This article reports the results of two experiments comparing the effects of different reading modes on Vietnamese EFL learners' vocabulary knowledge. The results showed that reading with textual input enhancement had the highest learning gains, while reading-only and reading-while-listening had similar effects. In addition, form recognition had the largest gains among the three aspects tested.
