Long-term Effects of a Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting Program-a Randomized Controlled Trial

Gunilla Lonnberg et al.

Summary: This study investigated the long-term effects of MBCP on pregnant women's stress and depressive symptoms during the first year postpartum. The intervention group showed significant reductions in stress and depression scores, as well as increases in positive states of mind and mindfulness scores compared to the control group. However, these effects were not sustained over the follow-up period, highlighting the importance of continued mindfulness practice for maintaining the benefits.
