A Year Trend Analysis and Spatial Distribution of COVID-19 Cases in Nepal

Summary: This study analyzed the trend and spatial distribution of COVID-19 cases in Nepal, revealing higher infection and mortality rates in men, with comorbidities like hypertension and chronic kidney diseases common in fatal cases. The distribution of cases was uneven, with cured cases showing an increase until October 2020 followed by a decline. Monitoring using GIS and spatial analysis could be an effective strategy in preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in Nepal's ongoing pandemic situation.

Combating the COVID-19 Pandemic: Experiences of the First Wave From Nepal

Summary: The Government of Nepal has implemented various measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, with high recovery rates but continued efforts are needed to control the outbreak. The highest number of infected cases are in the age group of 21-30, with a male to female death ratio of 2.33. Further efforts are required to strengthen the pandemic prevention work in Nepal.
