Comprehensive defect suppression in perovskite nanocrystals for high-efficiency light-emitting diodes

Summary: In this study, a one-dopant alloying strategy was employed to enhance electroluminescence efficiencies of metal halide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) by reducing defect formation and enhancing charge carrier confinement. Surface-stabilizing agents and bromide vacancy healing agents were utilized to decrease defect density and improve carrier confinement, resulting in significant enhancement in performance.

Synergistic improvements in the performance and stability of inverted planar MAPbI3-based perovskite solar cells incorporating benzylammonium halide salt additives

Summary: This study investigated the effects of three different benzylammonium halide salts on the surface morphology, crystal structure, optical properties, and performance of MAPbI(3) perovskite solar cells. Among them, benzylammonium chloride was found to effectively reduce defects and enhance photoluminescence intensity and lifetime, leading to a significant increase in power conversion efficiency. The optimized concentration of benzylammonium chloride resulted in a device with a maximum PCE of 19.8% and excellent moisture stability even after 30 days of operation under ambient air conditions.

This method offers a universal approach for enhancing the performance of Sn-based perovskites.
