Recent Progress in High-Strength and Robust Regenerated Cellulose Materials

Hu Tu et al.

Summary: Cellulose, as the most abundant sustainable polymer, has the potential to act as an ideal substitute for plastics due to its low cost, wide availability, and biodegradability. Recent achievements in developing cellulose green solvents and regenerated cellulose materials with high strength through bottom-up approaches have shown potential applications in textiles, biomedicine, energy storage, packaging, etc. Importantly, these cellulose-based materials can be biodegraded in soil and oceans, reducing environmental pollution.

Electrical insulating MXene/PDMS/BN composite with enhanced thermal conductivity for electromagnetic shielding application

Houbao Liu et al.

Summary: This study presents a layer-by-layer spin coating process to prepare multilayer films with ordered alternate structures; the combination of MXene and PDMS provides effective EMI shielding, while BN and PDMS offer efficient heat dissipation. The EMI SE of the multilayer films increases with the number of layers, but an increase in layers results in decreased thermal conductivity and electrical insulation performance.
