Summary: The study found that the ethylene-signaling mutant ctr1-1 showed less negative effects under high salt stress due to enhanced auxin signaling, while the ethylene-insensitive mutant ein2-1 exhibited depletion in active auxins. The continuously operating ethylene-signaling pathway may be associated with increased auxin biosynthesis in ctr1-1.
