Recovery of tropical marine benthos after a trawl ban demonstrates linkage between abiotic and biotic changes

Zhi Wang et al.

Summary: This article discusses the detrimental effects of bottom trawling on seabed habitats and the positive impact of implementing a trawl ban in Hong Kong. The results show that the ban has improved sediment and water column quality, and led to an increase in abundance, diversity, and similarity of macrobenthos.
