Peanut Endophytic Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria Increase Growth and P Content of Soybean and Maize Plants

Cinthia Tamara Lucero et al.

Summary: This study explores the use of endophytic phosphate solubilizing bacteria to promote plant growth and increase phosphorus content. The results showed that the strains significantly enhanced the growth of maize and soybean plants, contributed P to their tissues, and increased the phosphate solubilizing capacity of the plant rhizosphere. The bacterial strains have the potential to be used in the formulation of biofertilizers for various crops in low-phosphorus agricultural soils.
