Immunophenotypic Characterization of Canine Nodal T-Zone Lymphoma

Summary: T-zone lymphoma (TZL) is a type of indolent nodal T-cell lymphoma in dogs, diagnosed based on morphology and CD3 expression. The immunophenotype of canine TZL in this study is similar to previous reports, with the exception of 2 cases expressing CD45. This study highlights the importance of interpreting immunophenotypic findings in conjunction with histopathology for accurate diagnosis.

Correlation between Tumour Associated Macrophage (TAM) Infiltration and Mitotic Activity in Canine Soft Tissue Sarcomas

Summary: Tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs) are identified and counted in canine soft tissue sarcomas (STSs), showing a positive correlation between TAM numbers and histologic grade. TAMs are more abundant in higher grade STSs, leading to a potential risk of misdiagnosis as histiocytic sarcoma by pathologists.

Summary: This study quantified TAMs in 60 canine malignant mammary tumors and found that the presence of M2-polarized TAMs was associated with tumor development and disease progression. CD204 expression may serve as a potential prognostic factor for these tumors.
