Factors Associated with Increased Neuroretinal Rim Thickness Measured Based on Bruch's Membrane Opening-Minimum Rim Width after Trabeculectomy

Changes of Neuroretinal Rim and Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness Assessed by Optical Coherence Tomography After Filtration Surgery in Glaucomatous Eyes

Summary: In patients with primary open-angle glaucoma, lowering intraocular pressure through filtration surgery leads to increased thickness in optic nerve head parameters derived from spectral-domain optical coherence tomography. Changes in retinal nerve fiber layer after surgery do not show significant correlations with intraocular pressure changes, while minimum rim width values exhibit highly significant associations with intraocular pressure. Preferred use of RNFL for follow-up should be discussed.
