Evidence-Based Guidelines for the Treatment of Helicobacter pylori Infection in Korea 2020

Hye-Kyung Jung et al.

Summary: H. pylori infection is a common global infectious disease, causing significant gastrointestinal morbidity including gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastric cancer. The eradication rate of H. pylori has been decreasing due to increased antimicrobial resistance, especially to clarixthromycin. Clinical practice guidelines for H. pylori treatment have been updated based on the latest evidence from meta-analysis, with a focus on expert consensus and evidence-based medicine.

European Registry on Helicobacter pylori Management: Effectiveness of First and Second-Line Treatment in Spain

Maria Caldas et al.

Summary: The management of Helicobacter pylori infection in Spain relies on optimized therapy achieving over 90% success. The best results were obtained with the 10-day bismuth single-capsule therapy (95% cure rate by intention-to-treat). In second-line treatments, one of the most effective therapies was the triple quinolone scheme (PPI-amoxicillin-levofloxacin/moxifloxacin), with an effectiveness of 92%.
