Fabrication of a novel MoO3/Zn-Al LDHs composite photocatalyst for efficient degradation of tetracycline under visible light irradiation

Summary: A novel MoO3/Zn-Al LDHs composite photocatalyst was successfully prepared and characterized. The composite showed higher photocatalytic removal efficiency for tetracycline compared to pure Zn-Al LDHs and MoO3. The introduction of MoO3 facilitates the separation of electron-hole pairs, indicating great potential for antibiotic wastewater treatment.

Summary: In this study, La1-xGdxCr1-yFeyO3 nanoparticles were synthesized using a simple micro-emulsion technique, and their properties were characterized using various methods including XRD, VSM, SEM, EDS, and dielectric measurements. The results showed effective exchange of Fe and Gd ions into the crystal structure of La1-xGdxCr1-yFeyO3, with significant impact on its magnetic and dielectric properties. Photocatalytic activity experiments indicated that Fe and Gd doping can enhance the catalytic performance of LaCrO3 under solar light exposure.
