Effect of solidified grain boundary on interfacial creep failure behavior for steel/nickel dissimilar metal welded joint

Microstructure formation and columnar to equiaxed transition during cold crucible directional solidification of a high-Nb TiAl alloy

Summary: In this study, the factors affecting the columnar to equiaxed transition (CET) in high-Nb TiAl alloys were investigated by fabricating Ti46Al7Nb0.4W0.6Cr0.1B alloy using cold crucible directional solidification (CCDS) technique. Results showed that the increase in pulling rate and fulfillment of heterogeneous nucleation conditions were the main factors influencing CET.

Effect of billet microstructure and deformation on austenite grain growth in forging heating of a medium-carbon microalloyed steel
