Theaflavin protects against oxalate calcium-induced kidney oxidative stress injury via upregulation of SIRT1

Tao Ye et al.

Summary: The study showed that theaflavin (TF) can protect against kidney oxidative stress injury induced by calcium oxalate (CaOx) and reduce crystal deposition. TF suppresses kidney damage caused by CaOx through the recovery of the antioxidant defense system regulated by the miR-128-3p/SIRT1 axis.
