Ultra-long carbon nanotube-paraffin composites of record thermal conductivity and high phase change enthalpy among paraffin-based heat storage materials

Summary: This research discusses the potential of high-performance PCMs, specifically carbon nanocomposites, for thermal energy storage. The study highlights the record-breaking characteristics of CNT-paraffin nanocomposites based on ultra-long MWCNTs, including enhanced thermal conductivity and enthalpy of phase change, as well as excellent cycling stability and low supercooling temperature. The results suggest promising applications of elaborated PCMs in thermal energy storage.
