Summary: The study found that Danggui Buxue Tang (DBT) can selectively exert estrogenic activities and interact with tamoxifen in tissues, affecting bone, brain, uterus, and breast differently. DBT showed estrogenic effects in a tissue-selective manner, different from tamoxifen, but did not significantly change the effects of tamoxifen in OVX rats.
