Air passengers' willingness to pay for ancillary services on long-haul flights

Paul Chiambaretto

Summary: By studying ancillary services on long-haul flights, we found that passengers' willingness to pay for different services varies depending on trip motive and age, as well as the impact of flight duration on their willingness to pay. Comparing estimated willingness to pay with actual fees charged by airlines helps us draw conclusions on the attractiveness of these services for passengers.
