Energy-Dependent π+ π+ π+ Scattering Amplitude from QCD

Maxwell T. Hansen et al.

Summary: Focusing on the three-pion states with maximal isospin, the first nonperturbative determination of an energy-dependent three-hadron scattering amplitude from first-principles QCD is presented. The resulting amplitude exhibits rich analytic structure and a complicated dependence on the two-pion invariant masses.

DK I=0,DKI=0, 1 scattering and the Ds0(2317) from lattice QCD

Gavin K. C. Cheung et al.

Summary: Elastic scattering amplitudes for I = 0 DK and I = 0, 1 DK were calculated using lattice QCD. Interesting features and bound states were observed, but small P and D-wave DK amplitudes were found, along with resonances at higher energies in I = 0 DK.

On the nature of near-threshold bound and virtual states

Inka Matuschek et al.

Summary: The method of uniquely characterizing physical states by their pole positions and residues is extended to shallow virtual states classification. It is argued that mainly non-molecular or compact states exist as bound states or resonances, but not as virtual states. The limitations of the mentioned classification scheme are also discussed.

Where Is the Lightest Charmed Scalar Meson?

Meng-Lin Du et al.

Summary: The study reveals that the parameters assigned to the lightest scalar D meson are in conflict with experimental data, while a much lighter charmed scalar meson, the D-0*(2100), can well describe the data. In addition, it is found that an intermediate rho(-) exchange is related to the difference between the low-energy S-wave D pi phase and the D pi scattering phase shift in the analyzed data.

Data-driven dispersive analysis of the ππ and πK scattering

Igor Danilkin et al.

Summary: In this study, a data-driven analysis of the resonant S-wave ππ→ππ and πK→πK reactions was conducted using partial-wave dispersion relation and Taylor expansion method for accounting the contributions from left-hand cuts. Fits were made to experimental and lattice data, as well as Roy analyses. Analytic continuation to the complex plane revealed poles associated with the lightest scalar resonances for both physical and unphysical pion mass values.

Excited J-- meson resonances at the SU(3) flavor point from lattice QCD

Christopher T. Johnson et al.

Summary: This study presents the first calculation within lattice QCD of excited light meson resonances with J(PC) = 1(--), 2(--) and 3(--). Utilizing an exact SU(3) flavor symmetry, the researchers found various resonances and established connections with experimental omega(J)*, phi(J)* resonances, decaying into pi rho, K (K) over bar*, eta omega and other final states.

Scattering of two and three physical pions at maximal isospin from lattice QCD Extended Twisted Mass Collaboration

Matthias Fischer et al.

Summary: This paper presents the first direct N-f=2 lattice QCD computation of two- and three-pi(+) scattering quantities, including an ensemble at the physical point. The study explores the quark mass dependence of the two-pion phase shift and three-particle interaction parameters, comparing the results to phenomenology and chiral perturbation theory. While good agreement is observed in the two-particle sector, discrepancies are found in the energy-dependent part of the three-particle quasilocal scattering quantity when compared to leading ChPT.

Relativistic three-particle quantization condition for nondegenerate scalars

Tyler D. Blanton et al.

Summary: The research extends the formalism relating the relativistic three-particle infinite-volume scattering amplitude to the finite-volume spectrum to the case of three nondegenerate scalar particles, providing quantization conditions and integral equations for the intermediate K matrix. It is likely to facilitate a straightforward generalization of the relativistic approach to all other three-particle systems of interest.

Decays of an exotic 1-+ hybrid meson resonance in QCD

Antoni J. Woss et al.

Summary: The study presents the first determination of the hadronic decays of the lightest exotic J(PC) = 1(-+) resonance in lattice QCD. By computing finite-volume spectra on six lattice volumes, the researchers found a narrow resonance with relatively weak couplings to certain decay channels. The results suggest potential agreement with experimental observations of the pi(1)(1564) candidate state.
