Improved Phosphorus Uptake by Wheat Plant (Triticum aestivum L.) with Rhizosphere Fluorescent Pseudomonads Strains Under Water-Deficit Stress

Jamal Karimzadeh et al.

Summary: The study focused on characterizing fluorescent pseudomonads isolates from dryland wheat, demonstrating their tolerance to salinity and drought as well as their potential for promoting plant growth. Two effective strains were identified to enhance phosphorus uptake by wheat plants in saline calcareous soil under water-deficit stress. Overall, the results suggest that these isolates have the capability to improve P uptake by plants under stress conditions.

Auxin is involved in arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi-promoted tomato growth and NADP-malic enzymes expression in continuous cropping substrates

Yu Wang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates that inoculation of AMF in continuous cropping substrates promotes tomato seedling growth and root development, with increased NADP-ME activity. Transcriptome analysis showed enrichment in the plant hormone signal transduction pathway and identification of genes related to IAA. Overall, the study suggests that IAA mediates the effects of AMF on tomato growth and NADP-ME expression in continuous cropping substrates.
