Summary: Nanoscale materials, especially platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs), have shown significant potential in biomedical applications due to their antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anticancer properties, as well as their remarkable catalytic activity. However, the hazardous reaction conditions and toxic chemicals used in traditional synthesis methods pose environmental threats and compromise biocompatibility. Utilizing bacteria for the biosynthesis of PtNPs presents a novel approach to address these challenges and optimize their physicochemical properties for nanomedicine applications.
