A digital single-molecule nanopillar SERS platform for predicting and monitoring immune toxicities in immunotherapy

Summary: The study develops a digital nanopillar SERS platform for real-time single cytokine counting and dynamic tracking of immune toxicities in cancer patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment. By predicting cytokine concentrations, the platform demonstrates capability to identify patients at higher risk for developing severe immune toxicities.

Summary: Micro-SORS technique combined with SERS shows potential for noninvasive detection in deep-tissue. The penetration depths of two Raman nanotags are over 2cm in agarose gel and 3mm in porcine muscle, which can be improved to over 4cm and 5mm respectively with the micro-SORS system.
