Corneal confocal microscopy differentiates inflammatory from diabetic neuropathy

Michael Fleischer et al.

Summary: The study showed that an increase in dendritic cell density can identify individuals with CIDP. Corneal nerve fiber density, length, and branch density were equally reduced in participants with CIDP, diabetic neuropathy, and CIDP with diabetes. Therefore, corneal confocal microscopy may be useful in differentiating inflammatory from non-inflammatory diabetic neuropathy.

Treatment response to cyclophosphamide, rituximab, and bortezomib in chronic immune-mediated sensorimotor neuropathies: a retrospective cohort study

Jeremias Motte et al.

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed 200 CIN patients and found that treatment with CYP, RTX, and BTZ showed good efficacy in patients refractory to first-line treatment. Early treatment significantly improved response rates and reduced disability in long-term follow-up. Different types of CIN patients had varying response rates to treatment.
