An Efficient Graphene Quantum Dots-Based Electrochemical Cytosensor for the Sensitive Recognition of CD123 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Cells

Summary: In this study, a novel electrochemical cytosensor was developed for sensitive detection and quantification of KG1a cells as a model of leukemia stem cells, based on the overexpression of cell surface protein CD123. The sensor showed high sensitivity and selectivity, with a remarkable linear detection range and limit of detection. The versatile and accurate nature of the cytosensor was further validated using clinical samples, showcasing its potential as a next generation sensor for early detection of leukemia stem cells.
